MAS in International Governance and Law

The MAS in International Governance and Law is a modular, part-time programme designed for professionals aiming to master the complexities of cross-border governance, policy advocacy, and legal frameworks in international settings.

The MAS in International Governance and Law (MAS ETH UZH IGL) is a modular, part-time programme offered jointly by the Swiss School of Public Governance at ETH Zurich and the Europa Institute at the University of Zurich. This interdisciplinary collaboration combines expertise in governance, law, and policy, providing participants with a nuanced understanding of international legal systems and their practical applications.

The programme is structured around three Certificates of Advanced Studies (CAS) and a dedicated MAS module:

  • CAS ETH in International Policy and Advocacy
  • CAS ETH in Public Governance and Administration
  • CAS USZ European Law
  • MAS module with thesis

Graduates acquire the skills to design, manage, and implement complex governance projects in international and European contexts. They are prepared to represent their organisations effectively on global stages and contribute to shaping governance frameworks that respond to today’s evolving international challenges.
