CAS in Digital Health: Therapeutics
The Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Digital Health: Therapeutics equips healthcare professionals with the skills to design, implement, and evaluate digital health interventions for chronic conditions.

The CAS Digital Health: Therapeutics is a part-time, one-year certificate programme for healthcare professionals, clinicians, and digital health innovators looking to deepen their expertise through hands-on training in digital health technologies, therapeutic interventions, and personalised medicine.
Jointly delivered by ETH Zurich, the University of St. Gallen (HSG), and the University of Zurich (UZH), this interdisciplinary programme brings together perspectives from medicine, computer science, health economics, and management. Participants gain the skills to design, implement, and evaluate digital health solutions that support the prevention, diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of chronic conditions.
The curriculum, delivered through a combination of live virtual lectures, hands-on workshops, and collaborative coaching, covers:
Assessment of digital health technologies and business models
Designing a digital biomarker using data from a wearable
Creating a smartphone-based, chatbot-delivered health intervention
Participants learn how to apply digital tools and data-driven approaches to improve healthcare delivery, drive innovation in therapeutic interventions, and contribute to the advancement of digital therapeutics and personalised medicine.
Graduates are equipped to lead digital transformation in healthcare, improve patient outcomes, and innovate across health intervention delivery.
The CAS in Digital Health: Therapeutics programme is ideal for professionals asking:
“How can I gain experience designing and implementing digital health interventions?”
“What’s the most effective way to learn about digital therapeutics while working full time?”
“How can I build expertise in digital health therapeutics?"
