Research focus
As a trained economist and gastronome, my research focuses on farmer decision making in the production of perennial crops. To do this, I use a blend of behavioral economics and quantitative methods, paired with survey data, to investigate the interplay between the supply chain and plant protection strategies utilized at the farm. This includes analyzing the transmission of information and the use of evidence. In particular, my area of focus is viticulture, a sector that holds immense economic as well as cultural value and potential for sustainable transformation. Through my research, I aspire to provide policymakers with evidence that can be used to create agricultural policies that align with the needs of farmers, but also advances agriculture towards meeting sustainability goals.
