Ugne Potthoff

Ugne Potthoff is a PhD candidate at ETH Zurich. Her research interests focus on analytics and machine learning for heat pump optimization.

Ugne holds a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Production Engineering from RWTH Aachen and a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University. During her research stay at ETH Zürich, Ugne concentrated on the application of artificial intelligence and computer vision for laser-based powder bed fusion process monitoring. Beyond academia, Ugne has technical expertise in working on various IoT-focused projects and gained practical insights as a manufacturing engineer for automotive electronics during her time at Hella.
