Research area
The focus of my research is on the integration of interdisciplinary knowledge to analyse and evaluate management and policy options that promote and improve sustainable development in the agricultural sector. I'm interested in how a multifunctional agricultural sector can provide essential non-markets goods and services while maintaining their primary economic functions of food production. I apply bio-economic and agent-based modelling techniques to understand farmers’ decision-making in the provision of ecosystem services and economic valuation techniques to analyse the societal demand for these services. The aim of my research is to analyse effective and efficient policy measures that match both supply of and demand for ecosystem services on a landscape scale.
