Entrepreneurial Leadership Seminar 2021
The 2021 ELS provided participating MSc, MAS and doctoral students with a rewarding learning experience: a real case study of strategy and innovation in close collaboration with Georg Fischer.
During the ELS 2021, three different teams worked on future-oriented topics in the field of sustainability and digitalisation. The first team worked to ensure that sustainability would become an integral part of innovation at Georg Fischer; the second examined the best use of digitalisation in achieving operational excellence; and the third worked on fostering sustainability in the field of building technology. At a meeting with the CEO, the participants learned about the leadership culture at Georg Fischer and gained valuable insights into the company. In their final presentations, the student teams discussed their findings and gave recommendations to the whole management board of Georg Fischer as well as to key stakeholders, and received valuable feedback in return. The work of the student teams was so well appreciated that some of their recommendations will be implemented at Georg Fischer in the coming months. Several D-MTEC professors supported and coached the participants during this educational journey.
