Graduation
After completing your studies you will graduate as "Master of Science in Management, Technology, and Economics." Once per year, we celebrate all graduates from the Department of Management, Technology, and Economics.
Your email address after graduating
Five months after exmatriculation, your ETH email address will expire. Please provide us with a permanent email address to ensure that we can send you an invitation to the graduation ceremony.
Graduation awards
Willi Studer Prize
The Willi Studer Prize, part of the bequest of entrepreneur Dr. h.c. Willi Studer, has been awarded since 1993 to the best student in each ETH Zurich Master’s degree programme, based on their Grade Point Average (GPA). The prize is bestowed with CHF 3000.
ETH Medal
ETH honours outstanding Master’s theses with the Silver Medal of ETH Zurich and a financial sum of CHF 2000. To be shortlisted, your Master's thesis must be graded with 6, your GPA must be at least 5.25 and your supervisor has to nominate you to the rector. The ETH Medal will be awarded at the MTEC Graduation Ceremony.
MTEC Graduation Ceremony
The ceremony features keynote and commencement speeches, individual honours for every graduate and special acknowledgements to awardees and graduates who have voluntarily committed to representing their cohort. After the ceremony, the graduates and their companions are invited to an apéro riche to celebrate.
Graduation Ceremony on Friday, 11 December 2026
To attend the MTEC Graduation Ceremony, you must register upon invitation. As a graduate, you will receive an email invitation a couple of months before the ceremony.
To participate in the graduation ceremony in December 2026, you must submit your degree request via myStudies latest by 30 September 2026.
