During the Innovation Leadership Seminar (ILS), formerly called Entrepreneurial Leadership Seminar (ELS), you will work on a real-world business case involving strategy and innovation in close collaboration with the top management of a leading Swiss company.
The annual Innovation Leadership Seminar (ILS) provides ambitious ETH students and doctoral candidates with an exceptionally rewarding learning opportunity: A real case on strategy, innovation and leadership in close collaboration with the top management of an outstanding Swiss company and with coaching support from D-MTEC professors and lecturers.

Previous Seminar: ELS 2025 with Georg Fischer
In 2025, the Entrepreneurial Leadership Seminar was held in partnership with Georg Fischer (GF). Student teams worked on strategic projects in digital transformation, innovation, and technology, collaborating closely with GF experts and senior management. Throughout the seminar, participants engaged directly with CEO Andreas Müller and other senior leaders, culminating in final presentations and discussions with the company’s leadership team.
