Mentoring and Talent Development

The Mentoring Programme at the MTEC Department pairs current students (mentees) with industry experts and alumni (mentors) to promote personal and professional development, as well as career and network building.

The programme is of great value and high impact for both sides, and aims to establish long-term relationships between mentees and mentors.

Mentors have a great depth of professional experience and enjoy helping students make an impact and achieve to the best of their potential. Through regular one-on-one personal coaching sessions, mentees can develop leadership skills, broaden business perspectives, and identify career-development opportunities in alignment with ETH’s talent development model.

The Mentoring Programme is open to MSc and MAS MTEC students.

MSc MTEC students: MTEC Mentoring Programme MSc (MMP MSc)

MAS MTEC students: MTEC Mentoring Programme MAS (MMP MAS)

Zahra Ariyafar

"Having benefited from great mentoring relationships throughout my career, I became a mentor in the MAS MTEC programme in order to give something back to this valuable programme as well as to share my own experience and networks with an MAS student who might profit from them. And in fact, it was a great pleasure getting to know my mentees. I was able to play the role of a trusted sounding board, and to offer my own perspective and suggestions when I thought they might be of use. In the process, I engaged in valuable reflections on my own career path and choices."
